Tired dogs, Clean sheets, and mustashes

Sweet miss Cleo went to the groomer's today with Jasmine and had the works done to her. She's exhausted now and looks like a completely different dog. It's hard work being beautiful.
There's nothing better than
fresh clean sheets on your bed except maybe a funky
new mustache pillow I got
for free in a décor swap.

The picture says it all

I've got nothin'

Some daffodils that Toni gave me. Aren't they lovely.

My Mom bought a new toaster before Christmas.  I decided tonight to bring it and use it. I also threw away the old, icky one. I don't believe it's a virtue to leave good appliances in the box for years on end. Use your good stuff before it's too late.

Catching up

My youngest sister and her second to youngest holding her youngest child
The theme for Primary this year is "I know my Savior Lives" I'm currently the Primary secretary.

My Mom crocheted this very sweet owl. I smile every time I pass it in the living room.

My sisters Deborah and Tara got this for me because they know I love Hello Kitty. Just a lot of cuteness.

1/22/2015 We're still friends going on 30 years now.

An actual finished project from Relief Society Saturday crafting session.

Friday happenings

A few treats I got myself yesterday while waiting for a script to fill.

Doesn't that sweet face look concerned? Unfortunately some of the usual drama came to a head.
Most important of all, my nephew Colby Parker graduated from boot camp today. Doesn't he look happy and we couldn't be more proud of him. In the Navy.

Primary Girls Activity Day

We had eleven girls at the Activity today. We went over ground rules, brainstormed for activities and made, then swapped spiral friendship bracelets. I didn't get any photos of the ones the girls made. I did make one when I got home.

A Day of Photos

This is Gibbs, a sweet guy that just showed up and charmed me.  He often sleeps in the cat beds on the carport. I started feeding him because he had a bad cold and I wanted him to have the resources to get well. Several other cats now eat with him as well. He's the only who will stay and accept pets.

A little after I took this photo, it started raining, then cleared up completely and was lovely and sunny.

Houdini, our spayed queen. Everyone knows who's the boss of cats at this house.

My feet were especially cold today.

There's so much space

1/6/2015 It's amazing how spacious the
living room is when the Christmas
Tree is taken down.

Only in Arizona do we go straight from Winter at Christmas and New Year's to decorating for spring without a pause in between.

One of my favorite plants, Spanish
Lavender.  It has been repotted now. Hopefully I won't kill it this summer.

January 3rd, 4th, and 5th

January 3rd - Leah Parker Hartman and the rest of the family came by to show off the newest member, Brigham Hartman

Isn't he a cutie!

January 4th - a crochet project on my unmade bed.

January 5th - KitKat sleeping on my made bed. Suzanne crocheted the afghan as a birthday present. It's very warm and cozy.

First 3 days of project 365

January 2nd - late breakfast at the kitchen table. Hot chocolate, buttered toast, yogurt, diet coke with lemon, and a book. Good stuff.
January 1st - Little Christmas display on the TV in my room. Amazingly, I have not killed the poinsettia yet. There are Jingle bells in the blue mason jar and bird seed, that I was supposed to spread outside on Christmas Day for good luck, in the green container.
December 31st - This window in my bedroom is KitKat's favorite place to hang out. I have to leave the blinds partially up or he'll climb through them.
